When installing the C8180 printer driver on my windows 7/64 I keep getting the following error message: C:\Users\User\AppData\Local\Temp\7zS2686\Setup\..\Setup\hpzprl40.exe Does anyone have any ideas?
Terry on December 13, 2012
I have had my c8180 a couple years but don't use it terribly much. A envelope here and there, print conformation of purchases etc. One day says I need to do maintanance on printer. I followed the instructions but keeps giving me the printer not working. It's like the time ran out (2 Years) now time to break. I went down to possibly buy a new printer but I'm scared to buy any HP now. Still not sure. Very disapointed. Looked on line for support said I would have to pay since it is after warranty.

I too have had endless trouble with my C8180 printer, scanning is a nightmare, as I write this I am downloading the Windows 7 drivers to see if that helps. HP support on this matter useless!
Marlis on September 28, 2012
I have had many HP printers before, but this is going to be my last. It's not compatible with Windows 7 and keeps losing the drivers. Takes abt 2+ hours to uninstall and install. So much fun. I would never recommend this printer to anyone. Not even my enemy.
The printer, when it prints prints wonderful pictures and the ink usage is on par with previous models and other printers. WHEN IT ACTUALLY CAN FIND IT'S DRIVER AND NAME AND QUITS TELLING ME INK SYSTEM FAILURE.

Hello,I found an awesome ink solution on ebay. I have printed tons of papers and so have my girls for school and my ink has not run out yet. Been printing with it for probably at least 1 year now. Go to ebay and look up (continuous Ink CISS for HP C8180) I got mine for $39.00

The worst agonising machine I have ever purchased. An absolute time waster
terry on April 12, 2011
thanks for the driver , the printer requires too much ink according to the person who bought .
Nic on March 8, 2011
I agree too, this is the worst piece of kit ever. It also drinks ink, as observerd. I found that I can use ink refills from tescos so now I have a crap black and white printer!
MJ Brewer on February 28, 2011
I have to agree.... I've more issues with this printer than anyone can imagine. I'm CONSTANTLY uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers... and sometimes they take, sometimes they don't! I have documentation that absolutely needs to be printed for my job and can't even access it. I will be taking a trip to the library with my work on a disk AGAIN! Don't do it!
pedro on January 21, 2011
thanks,hopefully everything will work now
Janet (from rainy Scotland) on August 26, 2010
Thanks very much. Hopefully everything will work now...
tom on August 3, 2010
drivers downloaded and installed, all working well.
Chris on August 3, 2010
I have to agree with most of the comments. This printer, and most other HP gear is a disgrace. Doesn't work straight out of the box, absolutely no suppourt from HP on anything (have you tryed downloading the drivers from their site? don't bother, it won't work.) Never buy HP, pay the extra couple of bucks and you will save hours of time trying to fix the idiotic problems it comes up with.

I had an old HP photosmart and loved it so when this 8180 came out with the slots for your camera card I had to have one. I hate it. I almost never had to change the photo cartridges. Now this printer sucks the ink and I am always replacing the ink, very expensive. Also when a color runs low the printer won't print. My old printer would keep printing and most of the time I am printing things for info not for quality and now I can't print at all until I get MORE cartridges.
Tom Bolin on October 17, 2009
I have to agree with Tony's comments on July 20,2009. I have never had this much trouble loading printer drivers. No problem with the print or copy part of the drivers but the "scan" drivers have been nowhere to find and load. The printer itself, prints beautiful photo prints; the best I have seen on any printer and better that Walmart prints. I will keep you posted in my quest to access the "scan" capabilities of this printer.
Tony D. Smith on July 20, 2009
If you have not purchased the HPC8180, for God's sake, don't. I have as much time in re-downloading the drivers and alleged fixes for this thing as I have in printing with it. It is clunky, noisy, balky, unreliable, wastes your paper and inks while it spews pages with gibberish code or stops printing photos in mid-page. Worse than useless, this thing is the digital equivalent of an oozing sore. Get a box of crayons and a Royal typewriter. You'll have a better and less painful result.
